This park was constructed by UGI Central Penn Gas and PPL Utilities and dedicated to the Borough. This park is a commemoration of this important community milestone and celebrates the early industrial growth of Mount Joy Borough and the rich, native flora of southeastern Pennsylvania.

Mount Joy Borough would like to thank the Kiwanis Club of Norlanco-Rheems for agreeing to provide routine maintenance of Old Standby Park through the hard work of their volunteer staff.

Mount Joy Borough would like to thank David B. Christian, RLA, ASLA, David Christian and Associates, Inc., Landscape Architecture, for assistance with the design, layout and selection for the landscaping in the park.
